Employee wellness is something that matters to both employees and employers. According to Forbes Magazine, a healthy employee is happier and more productive, which reflects well on the business and keeps everyone satisfied. In this program, Jimmie Sherrill of Piedmont Medical Center, will explore the benefits of a vibrant corporate wellness program and provide tips to focus more on the health of your employees.

  • Identify the current leading health issues in our country and how these issues impact employees and the workplace.

  • Gain relevant information on the impact of a vibrant employee wellness program on absenteeism, “presenteeism”, worker’s comp and disability claims, employee satisfaction and retention.

  • Learn about locally available resources for health and wellness screening, education and prevention programs.

Jimmie Sherrill is a registered nurse and Community Wellness Leader with Piedmont Medical Center. A graduate of USC-L/York Technical College Cooperative Nursing program, Jimmie spent the majority of her 38-year career in Critical Care and Coronary Care. In her role as Community Wellness Leader, she conducts prevention programs, screenings and presentations to promote the improved health of the local community. In 2016, she was honored as a Tenet Hero for her work in Community Health and developing an impactful screening that uses new technology to compute Heart Age relative to a person’s chronological age. She is a certified Stress Management Consultant, providing classes and provides individual guidance in Stress Management.
